Law Academics Unblocked

A blog for law academics writing in English

Inspiration

One of the most fascinating aspects of research and writings is to find here and there a hidden treasure: a book, a paper, a blog that makes us stop, ponder and requires us to do something differently. It can be a paper about a new writing method (see here for experiences drawn from the Mumford Method). It can be a paper mapping key questions in our field from a different angle (for a range of such papers presented by academics: see here: JOTWELL). It can also be a book that we picked us with no real reason, but which suddenly calls us to revisit some of our key assumptions about our roles as teachers or as writers. It can also be the influence of a major scholar in our field.

For some of these nice little surprises that have prompted us to do new things or to do things differently.
